Actress Charlize Theron will face a New York trial over allegations she reneged on a contract with a designer watch manufacturer, a judge has ruled.

A U.S. District Court judge ruled that despite attempts by Theron to have the suit dismissed, the litigation filed by the Swiss watch manufacturer Raymond Weil will go to trial this month, the New York Daily News reported Sunday.

The suit alleges Theron violated her advertising campaign contract to wear time pieces created by the Swiss company at all times by wearing a watch made by another manufacturer.

The Daily News said Raymond Weil is seeking $20 million from the popular actress, who won a Best Actress Academy Award for the movie “Monster.”

The Oscar-winning actress not only was paid $3 million to endorse a Swiss watch, but she has banked six figures to wear a luxury jewelry firm’s baubles to the Academy Awards and a British awards show, and has been lavished with valuable gifts from Cartier. The 33-year-old star’s deals were detailed yesterday in a judicial decision filed in U.S. District Court in New York, where Theron is being sued for breaching a contract with Raymond Weil, the high-end watch manufacturer.

Charlize Theron has confessed that she had a drink backstage before appearing on NBC’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno!. In fact, Leno, even arranged for a fresh margarita on stage for the stunning star when she sat down.

The stunning star was there to promote her film, The Battle in Seattle.Leno and Theron have had some good-natured fun experiences in the past. “You should be loose when you come out here,” the New York Daily News quoted Leno, as saying. Full story »

Charlize Theron walked through a sea of adoring fans, her boyfriend and director Stuart Townsend a few steps ahead.

Flash bulbs popped, fans screamed for autographs, and security guards kept spectators at a distance. It was an everyday scene for Hollywood — expect it was happening in El Dorado Hills.

As much as people may have seen red carpet events on entertainment TV, many said this went beyond their wildest imaginations.

Even Townsend admitted the scene was impressive. “This is big,” he said. “Look at all these people out here … This is great.”

Outspoken in her support for presidential candidate Barack Obama, as well as her contempt for current commander-in-chief George Bush, Charlize Theron recently revealed she was deported from American soil at the age of 19, for being what she calls “unpatriotic.�

The 33 year-old Academy Award Winner told Digital Spy this week, “I produced and financed a documentary, called ‘East Of Havana’, in Cuba that was considered unpatriotic here in America, and I got deported when I was 19.�

The South African born Theron, who received her American citizenship just last year, went on to note, “I didn’t want to push my luck [afterwards]. I’ve always been very open about my politics. I waited until I got my American citizenship to protest.â€� Full story »

According to US Magazine, Theron was a guest on the show, to promote her film ‘Battle in Seattle’.
