Outspoken in her support for presidential candidate Barack Obama, as well as her contempt for current commander-in-chief George Bush, Charlize Theron recently revealed she was deported from American soil at the age of 19, for being what she calls “unpatriotic.”
The 33 year-old Academy Award Winner told Digital Spy this week, “I produced and financed a documentary, called ‘East Of Havana’, in Cuba that was considered unpatriotic here in America, and I got deported when I was 19.”
The South African born Theron, who received her American citizenship just last year, went on to note, “I didn’t want to push my luck [afterwards]. I’ve always been very open about my politics. I waited until I got my American citizenship to protest.” Full story »
